  • Continue recruiting new members.

· GK Report

  • A Round Table sponsored by our Council has been established at Our Lady of Good Counsel. Gary McGinnis will be the coordinator for the Round Table.

  • There was discussion of why our Corporate Communion is different than those of other Councils. The next Corporate Communion is scheduled for the 10:30 Mass on November 30.

  • The November 8 talk of the history of the St. Augustine Cathedral Basilica is awaiting final approval by Fr. Tom. All other arrangements have been prepared.

  • The Patriot Oaks Academy gym is reserved for a Knights of Columbus free throw shooting event on October 12 at 11:45. Expect the event to last 30-40 minutes. Jared Ernest will lead the event again this year and will need two other Knights who are certified by Safe Environment to assist. Details of the event were discussed.

  • The next Knights Coffee and Donuts after each Mass will be on September 28.

  • Mike Aiken asked Clyde Slick for an update on new badges. Clyde has asked Brothers who want to order a new badge to respond to his e-mail request. The cost will be less than initially reported, closer to $15, depending on the number of lines on the badge.

There was discussion of how to fund this, and it was suggested that we hold a 50/50 raffle at the monthly Council meeting with the funds raised to be used for the VSP site. Ed made a motion to do so, seconded by Dave LaPlante and unanimously approved by voice vote. A follow-up discussion was had regarding additional fundraising ideas, including checking membership cards at the door and selling State raffle tickets.

  • Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA will be added to the prayer list.

  • Lecturer Michael Lomax gave a spiritual reading from St. Augustine.

  • · The meeting was adjourned at 8:02 following the Hail Mary.
