CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 7:01 PM by Grand Knight Mike Aiken and was opened with the Our Father and the Pledge of Allegiance.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Ed Sabin made a motion to approve the minutes of the January 20, 2026, meeting. The minutes were approved by a unanimous voice vote
AGENDA
• Membership Report (given by Mike Aiken) o There are ten approved applications, and an exemplifications on should be considered soon.
o There are three transfer applications from OLGC that require additional information (exemplification date, prior council number, etc.). Gary McGinnis will work to collect this information.
• GK Report o Elections must be held May 1 – June 15, and Clyde Slick will work to assemble a slate of candidates before next month’s mee ng. The tentative election on date is the May 19 council mee ng. OLGC members are eligible. Please consider both elected and appointed positions.
o The Sacred Heart of Jesus icon will be with the Council during the period of March 17-23. Details to follow, but Mike Aiken will receive the icon from Terrence Mahoney (SJdR) so that it will be available for Masses at St. Mark’s. Prayer cards (300 count) have been received. o The next three Knights Coffee and Donuts a er Mass will be held February 22, March 22 and April 26.
o The regional free throw competition will be held February 21 at Resurrection Church. At this me, two of the eight St. Mark’s qualifiers are confirmed.
o The next Corporate Communion is scheduled for March 29 and will be observed at both Masses.
o Below are dates for the Lenten Food Drive.
§ Empty boxes will be distributed on March 1 and March 8
§ Donations will be collected on March 15 and March 22 o The next two council meetings will be held March 17 and April 21.
• Treasurer Report
Ed Sabin submitted the updated Financial Summary. The report is distributed with these minutes.
• Financial Secretary Report
Council membership stands at 60 men with ten new applicants who have not yet been scheduled for exemplification.
• Chancellor Report
The council website is under revision. There is a mock new site under development that is being readied for deployment.
• New Business o For Star Council consideration, the council must hold two fraternal benefits events, and Joe Spinelli (Field Agent) might be available in April. No date is confirmed, but it was discussed scheduling an event during a council meeting with a shortened agenda or during an OLGC Round Table meeting. As alternative qualifying events, Mike Aiken noted that a streaming event is an option, and John Hashtak noted that any District 13 event is an option.
o The next meeting of 4th Degree is March 10. The Ave Maria Assembly of SJdR/Switzerland Council has scheduled an exemplification for February 28 at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche. However, there are currently only two candidates, which may not be enough to move forward with the exemplification.
o The St. Mark the Evangelist Family Fun Day is scheduled for April 12. As a follow-up to Mike Aiken’s February 16 email, Knights can help by transporting the grill, providing a full propane tank, cooking and serving. Depending on how many people a end, it was also discussed that it might be helpful to cook and wrap some food just prior to the event so that it can be kept warm in a small cooler.
• District Deputy Report
John Hashtak submitted the District Deputy Report. The report is distributed with these minutes.
• Lecturer Michael Lomax gave a spiritual reading from St. Augustine concerning holy indifference.
